Password security

ISNIC would like to remind customers not to use the same password for the ISNIC domain portal as they use for other network services. Last week an attempt was made to highjack serveral .is domains using passwords obtained from a compromized WordPress server. These attempts where stopped by an alert registrant and timely intervention by ISNIC staff members.

Please use unique passwords for your .is domain portal to reduce the risk of loosing your .is domains, in case of an unrelated compromized service somewhere else.
