Domain fee price change

The annual domain fee increased today by ISK 496, and the annual domain fee for customers outside Iceland by EUR 3. After the increase, the annual domain fee will be ISK 6,789, incl. 24% VAT, and EUR 34.90, without any taxes, to parties outside Iceland.

The annual fee for the .is domain rose for the first time in the company's history in February 2021, from ISK 5,980 to ISK 6,293. Since the last price change, the price index has increased by 20.8% according to the Statistics Iceland. ISNIC's price increase is 7.88%. The net increase in number of .is-domains does not support the company's rising operating costs, and therefore the price change is necessary.
